1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CastDrop ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.
2. Description of Service
CastDrop is an AI-powered content creation platform that helps creators generate short-form video clips from long-form content. The Service includes clip generation, caption generation, script generation, voiceover tools, SEO copy tools, YouTube scheduling, and Instagram publishing features.
3. Accounts and Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your password secure and not share access with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload or process content you do not own or have rights to use
- Generate or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or harmful
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our infrastructure
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
- Upload content containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant CastDrop a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload and any clips you generate. CastDrop does not monitor or review uploaded content, but reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.
6. Subscription and Billing
CastDrop offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. By subscribing to Pro, you agree to:
- Pay the applicable subscription fee on a recurring basis (monthly or annual)
- Authorize CastDrop to charge your payment method on each billing cycle
- Provide accurate and complete billing information
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
7. Free Tier Limitations
Free accounts are limited to 10 clip generations per calendar month. Clips generated on a free account will include a watermark. CastDrop reserves the right to modify free tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party APIs including Anthropic (Claude AI), Groq (transcription), ElevenLabs (text-to-speech), YouTube (video publishing), Meta/Instagram (Reels publishing via the Instagram Graph API), and Stripe (payments). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. CastDrop is not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.
9. Social Media Integration
By connecting your YouTube or Instagram account to CastDrop, you authorize us to publish content to those platforms on your behalf. You remain solely responsible for any content you publish through the Service and agree to comply with the respective platform's terms of service, including YouTube's Terms of Service and Meta's Terms of Service.
You may disconnect any connected social account at any time from the Scheduler page. Upon disconnection, we delete your stored access token immediately.
10. Intellectual Property
The CastDrop platform, including its code, design, branding, and AI models, is owned by CastDrop and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our express written consent.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will meet your specific requirements. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed before publication.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CastDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to lost revenue, data loss, or reputational harm — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Copyright / DMCA
CastDrop respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that content available through the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated agent.
Your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

We will respond to valid takedown notices promptly. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated. If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the same address.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time from your Account page.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
