1. Who We Are
CastDrop is a product of Zyntcor. When we say "CastDrop," "we," "us," or "our," we mean the entity operating the Service at castdrop.app. Questions? Email us at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed (never plain-text) password.
Billing information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles all payment data under their own security and compliance standards.
Uploaded content: Videos you upload are stored temporarily on our servers for processing. Generated clips, captions, thumbnails, and voiceover files are stored on our persistent volume and associated with your account only.
Usage data: We track clip generation counts per user to enforce free tier limits. We also collect basic server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and debugging purposes.
Error data: If Sentry error tracking is active, we may collect anonymized error reports to help diagnose bugs. No personal content is included in these reports.
3. How We Use Your Information

- To send transactional emails (password reset, billing notifications)

We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
4. Third-Party Services
To provide the Service, we share data with these third parties:
- Anthropic — Your video transcripts are sent to Claude AI for clip selection. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
- Groq — Audio is sent to Groq for transcription via Whisper. Governed by Groq's privacy policy.
- ElevenLabs — Script text is sent to ElevenLabs for voiceover generation (Pro feature). Governed by ElevenLabs' privacy policy.
- Google / YouTube — If you connect your YouTube account, we store OAuth tokens to post clips on your behalf. We only request the permissions needed for this purpose.
- Stripe — Handles payment processing. Governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
- Railway — Our hosting provider. Your data is stored on Railway's infrastructure in the United States.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Uploaded source videos are deleted after processing is complete. Generated clips and associated files are retained until you delete them or your account is closed.
You can delete individual clips from your Library, or delete your entire account and all associated data from the Account page at any time.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, analytics platforms, or ad tracking of any kind. We do not run ads.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and per-user data isolation. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data in your account
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your generated clips and content at any time

9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
